How it all started…
In the 2010s, the FinTech industry experienced rapid growth, and by the end of the decade, dozens of valuable FinTech services became available to Bulgarian users. While some early adopters embraced these innovations, the majority remained hesitant due to uncertainty and a lack of information. This gap in awareness and understanding led to the creation of FinTech Bulgaria in October 2019—an information hub and platform for discussion within the Bulgarian FinTech community.
FinTech Bulgaria – Building the community of FinTech users in Bulgaria
FinTech Bulgaria began as the moderator of a Facebook group, FinTech in Bulgaria, which eventually evolved into a central discussion platform for FinTech users across the country. Recognizing the growing demand for well-structured reviews, service comparisons, and a reliable news channel tailored to the Bulgarian market, we launched www.FinTechBulgaria.com.
Community Group Development and Moderation
To provide a space for Bulgarian FinTech users to engage, we created a Facebook group, guided by research indicating it would be the most relevant platform for this community. Through thoughtful involvement, engaging posts that encouraged participation, and strict moderation according to clear rules, the group quickly became a trusted space for users to ask questions, share experiences, and discover new FinTech services. Today, the group boasts over 8,500 active members.
